Substance Abuse Tech

Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center has an opportunity in our detox/residential treatment center located in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to impact other human beings in such an AMAZING way that it changes their life forever.

The position of Substance Abuse Tech is an integral part of our clinical team with extensive patient contact. A qualified candidate must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with the medical, nursing, clinical and admissions staff as well as with clients, families and other callers. This position requires the ability to be flexible and versatile in whatever is needed for the shift.

Applicants must have a valid driver's license with no DUI's on their record for the past 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations within the last 3 years.

Available Opportunities:

FT evenings, some weekends are included

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

Facilitating clients daily activitiesEnsuring clients safety at all timesModeling positive behaviors and maintaining healthy/professional boundariesTransporting clients via company vehiclesConduct contraband searches of clients personal belongingsCollects specimens for toxicology testingTransporting clients to scheduled A. A. and N. A. meetingsEnsure the timely and orderly attendance of clients, in scheduled treatment activitiesRespond to Help Line and routine telephone calls to the CenterAssure neatness and organization of the facilityParticipate in change shift reportIdentify and report to the staff nurse any signs and symptoms denoting a change in the client's condition and/or participation in the treatment processAssist with admission and discharge procedures. Stock supplies as needed daily checkingFollow infection control policies and procedures

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
